Due to our Vacation Bible School, we are not meeting tonight for our midweek bible study; however, I wanted to take some time to discuss how the Word of God is calling us to prepare our next generation in Biblical Ethics. The world is bombarding our young people with information where their value is apparently determined by the things they have and how they look rather than God's purpose for their lives.

The importance of Christian ethics cannot be overstated. In a world increasingly driven by materialism and external appearances, it is essential for believers to evaluate their lives against biblical standards and to promote these ethics within their communities. The apostle Peter, in 1 Peter 3:3-4, reminds us that our adornment must not be merely external but should reflect a transformed inward nature: "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."

Understanding Christian Ethics

Christian ethics are rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. They serve as a guide for believers to live lives that honor God and reflect His love and truth.
