Scripture for This Morning

Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV):
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 (NLT):
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Devotional Thought

Monday brings responsibility back into view. Decisions, deadlines, expectations. God does not ask you to carry them alone.

Trust is the posture that shapes the week. Dependence on God is not weakness. It is wisdom.

A man who begins Monday trusting the Lord refuses self-reliance. He submits his plans, pace, and priorities to God. He walks forward attentive to God’s direction, not driven by pressure.

Start the week leaning on God, not on yourself.

Ask yourself this morning. Where am I tempted to rely on my own understanding this week? What decisions do I need to place fully under God’s authority? How can I intentionally seek God’s will before acting today?

Questions to Consider

  • Where am I tempted to rely on my own understanding this week?
  • What decisions do I need to place fully under God’s authority?
  • How can I intentionally seek God’s will before acting today?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I trust You with this week. Help me rely on You instead of my own understanding. Guide my steps and align my decisions with Your will. Lead me in obedience and faith today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Encouragement for This Morning

God goes before you into this week. As you trust Him, He will steady your path.

    Welcome to The Daily Watch

The Daily Watch is a collection of brief, Scripture-centered morning and evening devotionals designed to help believers begin and end each day grounded in the Word of God. These reflections are written to encourage watchfulness, prayerful reflection, and steady obedience in the ordinary rhythms of life.

Each devotional is intentionally concise, focusing on Scripture, not sentiment, and pointing our hearts toward faithful living before the Lord. Whether read in the quiet of the morning or at the close of the day, The Daily Watch exists to help God’s people pause, reflect, and walk attentively with Christ.
