Devotional Thought
Humility is not thinking less of yourself. It is thinking rightly before God.
Pride shows up in a man quietly. Defensiveness. Stubbornness. A need to be right. A refusal to admit weakness. A habit of blaming others.
But God calls men to a different strength: humility. Humility is what keeps you teachable. It makes room for repentance. It makes room for peace. It makes room for growth.
Today, choose the way of humility. Admit where you were wrong. Listen before you respond. Take responsibility without excuses. Ask for help when you need it.
Ask yourself this morning. Where has pride been shaping my responses lately? What would humility look like in one specific conversation today?
God lifts up humble men. Not always quickly. Always wisely.
Questions to Consider
- Where has pride been shaping my responses lately?
- What would humility look like in one specific conversation today?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, humble me before You today. Expose pride in my heart and replace it with teachability and repentance. Help me walk with humility in my words, my relationships, and my decisions. Make my life honor Christ through quiet strength and obedience. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Today
You do not need pride to protect you. In Christ, you are already secure, loved, and accepted. Humility is safe.
