Devotional Thought
Sunday morning calls a man to re-center his life. This day is not an interruption to life. It is a reminder of who governs it.
Worship is not attendance alone. It is the posture of a heart that comes ready to listen, repent, rejoice, and obey. A man who worships with reverence recognizes that God is worthy of his full attention, not leftover energy.
God uses gathered worship to steady faith, correct drift, and strengthen resolve. Men do not merely attend worship. They lead themselves and their households into it.
Come today not as a spectator, but as a servant of the living God.
Ask yourself this morning. Have I come to worship ready to hear from God, not just observe? What distractions do I need to set aside to give God my full attention? How can my attitude help lead my family toward reverent worship today?
Questions to Consider
- Have I come to worship ready to hear from God, not just observe?
- What distractions do I need to set aside to give God my full attention?
- How can my attitude help lead my family toward reverent worship today?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for this day set apart for worship. Prepare my heart to honor You with humility and attention. Help me listen, respond, and obey as You speak through Your Word. Be glorified in my life today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
