Devotional Thought
Bitterness rarely announces itself. It grows quietly. A comment. An unmet expectation. A disappointment.
Scripture warns that bitterness does not remain contained. It spreads. It distorts perception. It affects others.
A man who endures without growing bitter refuses to rehearse offense. He chooses forgiveness before resentment hardens. He confronts hurt before it settles into attitude.
Endurance is not silent suffering. It is guarding the heart.
Questions to Consider
- Did frustration take root in me today?
- Am I replaying something that needs to be released?
- Where do I need to forgive rather than nurse resentment?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, protect my heart from bitterness. Help me release offense and guard my spirit from resentment. Cleanse my heart and restore peace within me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Tonight
God can uproot what tries to harden you. In Christ, your heart can remain soft and strong at the same time.
