Scripture for Today
Isaiah 26:3 (NIV):
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Isaiah 26:3 (NLT):
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
Devotional Thought
Monday can pull a man in ten directions at once. Deadlines. Expectations. Conversations. Decisions. And the quiet pressure to hold it all together.
God offers a different starting point: a steady mind anchored in trust.
Peace is not found by removing every problem. Peace is found by fixing your thoughts on the Lord. A steadfast mind is not a mind with no stress. It is a mind that keeps returning to God when stress rises.
This morning, choose where your thoughts will live. Not in worst-case scenarios. Not in fear of failure. Not in replaying what you cannot change. Fix your mind on Christ and trust Him with what you carry.
Ask yourself this morning. What thought keeps stealing my peace lately? What would it look like to fix my mind on God instead of feeding worry? What truth from Scripture do I need to return to today, again and again?
God keeps His men in peace as they trust Him.
Questions to Consider
- What thought keeps stealing my peace lately?
- What would it look like to fix my mind on God instead of feeding worry?
- What truth from Scripture do I need to return to today, again and again?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, steady my mind today. Fix my thoughts on You and guard me from anxiety and drifting thoughts. Teach me to trust You in every responsibility, every conversation, and every pressure. Fill me with Your peace and help me walk with calm strength. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Today
You do not have to manufacture peace. In Christ, you are forgiven, accepted, and secure. God will keep you steady as you trust Him.
