Scripture for Today
Psalm 27:14 (NIV):
“Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
Psalm 27:14 (NLT):
“Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD.”
Devotional Thought
Most men do not struggle with doing. They struggle with waiting.
Waiting exposes what we trust. It reveals impatience. It uncovers control. It tests whether we believe God is truly good and truly sovereign.
But Scripture does not treat waiting as wasted time. It calls you to wait with strength and courage. That means waiting is active faith. It is a man staying obedient while God works in what he cannot see.
Today, you may be waiting on answers. Waiting on change. Waiting on healing. Waiting on provision. Waiting on clarity.
This morning, ask yourself. Where am I tempted to force an outcome instead of trusting God? What would it look like to wait and still obey today? What is one faithful step I can take while I wait?
God shapes men deeply in the waiting.
Questions to Consider
- Where am I tempted to force an outcome instead of trusting God?
- What would it look like to wait and still obey today?
- What is one faithful step I can take while I wait?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach me to wait for You with strength and courage. Forgive me for impatience and control. Help me trust You when answers are slow and outcomes are unclear. Keep me obedient and steady, and let my faith grow as I wait. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Today
Waiting does not mean God is absent. In Christ, you are secure, and the Lord is working even when you cannot see it.
