Devotional Thought
Some weeks leave a man irritated. A disrespectful comment. An unfair situation. A conflict that is unresolved. A wound that still stings.
The flesh wants payback. God calls you to trust.
Leaving vengeance with God is not weakness. It is faith. It is a man refusing to let bitterness become his identity.
This evening, release what you have been holding. Release the conversation you keep replaying. Release the offense you want to punish. Release the need to be proven right.
God sees what you see. And He judges perfectly.
Ask yourself tonight: What am I still trying to settle in my own strength? What would it look like to lay this down and rest?
A man who releases revenge becomes a man who can sleep in peace.
Questions to Consider
- What am I still trying to settle in my own strength?
- What would it look like to lay this down and rest?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I release to You what has wounded or angered me this week. Guard my heart from bitterness and help me trust You with justice. Give me grace to respond with righteousness and peace. Cleanse my mind and let me rest tonight without carrying resentment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Tonight
You do not have to fight for your own vindication. In Christ, you are secure, defended by God, and free to live with peace.
