Scripture for Today
Psalm 145:18 (NIV):

Psalm 145:18 (NLT):
“The LORD is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.”
Devotional Thought
Wednesday often brings midweek friction. Unexpected problems. Interruptions. People issues. And the temptation to react quickly.
But a strong man learns to pray before he reacts. Not long prayers. Honest prayers. A quiet call to God before words leave your mouth. A quick surrender before you answer that message. A moment of truth before you make a decision.
God is near to men who call on Him in truth. That means you can come real. No pretending. No polishing. Just calling on the Lord.
This morning, build one habit. Pause. Pray. Proceed.
Ask yourself today. Where do I tend to react instead of pray? What situation needs God’s nearness more than my control? What would calling on Him in truth look like right now?
God meets men in the pause.
Questions to Consider
- Where do I tend to react instead of pray?
- What situation needs God’s nearness more than my control?
- What would calling on Him in truth look like right now?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach me to pray before I react today. Keep me honest and humble as I call on You in truth. Guard my words and guide my decisions. Help me respond with wisdom, patience, and faith in Christ instead of impulse. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Today
You are not left to handle life alone. In Christ, you are secure, and the Lord is near to you.
