Scripture for Tonight
Matthew 6:34 (NIV):
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Matthew 6:34 (NLT):
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.”
Devotional Thought
Monday evening can feel like a doorway into the whole week. And many men step through that doorway carrying tomorrow’s weight tonight.
Jesus says, do not do that.
This is not permission to be careless. It is a call to trust. A call to stop rehearsing future trouble as if worry is preparation.
Tonight, release tomorrow to God. Plan if you need to plan, then pray and rest. Do what is in your hands, then surrender what is not.
Ask yourself this evening. What am I worrying about that I cannot control? What am I rehearsing that is stealing my peace? What would it look like to trust Christ with tomorrow before I sleep?
God is already in the next day. You can rest.
Questions to Consider
- What am I worrying about that I cannot control?
- What am I rehearsing that is stealing my peace?
- What would it look like to trust Christ with tomorrow before I sleep?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I release tomorrow to You tonight. Forgive me for worry and rehearsing fear. Quiet my mind and fill me with trust. Help me rest in Your care and wake ready to obey, not driven by anxiety but guided by Your peace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Tonight
You are not the provider of your future. In Christ, you are secure. Your Father is faithful, and you can sleep in peace.
