Proverbs 16:3 (NLT):
“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.”
Devotional Thought
Mornings shape direction. Before decisions stack up and pressures speak loudly, God invites a man to place his plans under His authority.
Commit does not mean mention God and move on. It means yield. It means acknowledging that today does not belong to you to control, but to steward.
Many men plan well but submit poorly. Scripture calls you to begin the day differently. Not self-driven, but God-governed. Not anxious about outcomes, but obedient in direction.
Submitting your plans does not weaken initiative. It purifies it. God establishes what is surrendered to Him.
Start this day with open hands. Invite God into your schedule, your conversations, your work, and your leadership. Trust Him to order what you cannot foresee.
Questions to Consider
- Where am I most tempted to plan without truly submitting to God?
- What would it look like to yield my schedule and decisions to the Lord today?
- Which specific part of my day do I need to place back into God’s hands right now?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I place this day before You. I submit my plans, decisions, and responsibilities into Your hands. Lead me in obedience and establish my steps according to Your will. I trust You with what lies ahead. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for This Morning
You do not carry today alone. As you submit your plans to the Lord, He faithfully orders your steps and strengthens your resolve.
