Scripture for This Morning
1 Peter 4:10 (NIV):
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
1 Peter 4:10 (NLT):
“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.”
Devotional Thought
Saturday often feels like reclaimed time. Work pauses, pressure eases, and the pace shifts. Scripture reminds us that this day is not empty space. It is opportunity.
God gives men strength not only to accomplish tasks, but to bless people. Service is not reserved for church programs. It happens in homes, neighborhoods, errands, conversations, and unnoticed acts of help.
A man who serves on Saturday resists self-centered rest. He finishes what needs to be done. He invests in his family. He looks outward instead of inward.
This kind of service reflects Christ. Quiet, intentional, and generous.
Ask yourself this morning. What responsibilities have I been postponing that need faithful attention today? Who around me could benefit from my time, help, or presence? How can I use my strength today to serve rather than withdraw?
Questions to Consider
- What responsibilities have I been postponing that need faithful attention today?
- Who around me could benefit from my time, help, or presence?
- How can I use my strength today to serve rather than withdraw?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of this day. Give me eyes to see needs, willingness to serve, and strength to act with love. Help me use what You have given me for Your glory and the good of others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for This Morning
God works through ordinary acts of faithfulness. As you serve today, your obedience matters more than visibility.
