Scripture for This Morning
Micah 6:8 (NIV):
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 6:8 (NLT):
“No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
Devotional Thought
Midweek exposes pride and pressure. Responsibilities accumulate, fatigue sets in, and impatience grows. God calls men back to humility.
Humility is not weakness or passivity. It is strength under God’s authority. A humble man remains teachable, responsive, and grounded in truth.
Walking humbly means staying aware of your need for God. It shapes how you lead, speak, and respond. It keeps obedience from turning into self-reliance.
Let humility govern your posture today.
Questions to Consider
- Where am I tempted to rely on my own strength or experience?
- How can I remain teachable and dependent on God today?
- What would humble obedience look like in my responsibilities right now?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach me to walk humbly before You today. Guard my heart from pride and self-reliance. Help me act justly, love mercy, and remain dependent on Your guidance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for This Morning
God gives grace to the humble. As you walk dependently today, He will strengthen and guide you.
