Scripture for This Morning
Micah 6:8 (NIV):
“He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Micah 6:8 (NLT):
“No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you.”
Devotional Thought
Midweek exposes the heart. Pressure builds. Fatigue sets in. Confidence can quietly turn into self-reliance.
God calls men to humility, not as weakness, but as alignment. To walk humbly is to stay aware that every strength, decision, and success depends on Him. Humility keeps a man teachable, steady, and responsive to God’s leading.
Walking humbly today means submitting your pace, tone, and leadership to God. It means choosing obedience over ego and faith over control.
Questions to Consider
- Where am I tempted to rely on my own strength or experience?
- How can I intentionally walk dependent on God today?
- What would humble obedience look like in my responsibilities right now?
Prayer
Father, teach me to walk humbly before You today. Guard my heart from pride and self-reliance. Help me act justly, love mercy, and depend fully on Your guidance. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for This Morning
God gives grace to the humble. As you walk dependently today, He will guide and strengthen you.
