Devotional Thought
Wisdom does not begin with information. It begins with reverence.
The fear of the Lord is not terror. It is a holy weight. A steady awareness that God is real, present, and worthy of obedience.
Many men make decisions as if God is distant. But a man who fears the Lord lives differently. He slows down before he speaks. He thinks before he acts. He chooses integrity when shortcuts are available. He guards his eyes and mind because he knows God sees.
This morning, let reverence shape your day. Not guilt. Reverence. Not performance. Worship.
Ask yourself this morning. Where have I been casual about sin? Where do I need wisdom right now? What would it look like to make my next decision with God’s presence in mind?
God gives wisdom to men who live with holy reverence.
Questions to Consider
- Where have I been casual about sin?
- Where do I need wisdom right now?
- What would it look like to make my next decision with God’s presence in mind?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, teach me the fear of the Lord. Put reverence in my heart and wisdom in my steps. Help me walk carefully today, honoring Christ in my decisions, my speech, and my private life. Guard me from casual compromise and make my life a testimony of obedience. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Encouragement for Today
You are not trying to earn God’s attention. In Christ, you are already His. Walk in wisdom from a heart of worship.
