  • Sunday School at 8:45 a.m. | Morning Worship at 10 a.m.
  • A love offering will be taken for The Gideons
  • VBS 2026 Meeting immediately following service

Wednesday

  • Choir rehearsal at 6:45 p.m.
  • Bible Study and Prayer Meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Looking Ahead

  • There will be a Fellowship Dinner after church next week. Please bring a dish to pass and table service.
  • Men’s Picnic on Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. Hilltop Pavilion at Mount Pisgah State Park. Meat and beverages are provided — bring a dish or snack to pass.
  • VBS donations: any color green plastic table cloths, silk flowers, fake greens, or brown packing paper (please roll it up). Let Darla know if you have any large jungle stuffed animals for decor (monkeys, snakes, parrots, etc.) Donation box is on the VBS table.

  • Men’s Bible Study at 6:30 p.m., “Called to Stand: A Man and His Mission”

Next Sunday

  • May 17: Men’s Sunday School Class will be starting a new Max Lucado study, Life Lessons from the Book of Acts. Come as you are and join us as we learn and grow from being in God’s Word while encouraging and sharpening each other.

Furnace Fund

  • At the April 29th quarterly business meeting, the church approved the replacement of the two existing church furnaces, which have been working inconsistently this past winter. Both of the current furnaces are over 25 years old and will be replaced with more energy efficient units. The church also approved the purchase of an air conditioning unit to coincide with the new furnaces. Total cost for the furnaces and air conditioning is estimated at $21,000. At that meeting, it was decided upon to raise $7,600 of these estimated costs through donations from the congregation.
  • A “Furnace Fund” donation box will remain in the foyer each week for such donations. As God leads you, any donation will be greatly appreciated and be useful for the ministries here at Springfield Baptist for years to come.
